KOTA BARU: The Kelantan government plans to build more apartments and condominiums to offer a wide choice to its people who now have the capacity to purchase their own houses.
Kelantan Minteri Besar Kelantan Datuk Ahmad Yaakov said the latest project, currently being undertaken on a 0.376 hectare site in Section 16, Jalen Hamza, would be able to uplift the state economy.
“Kelantan’s are more affluent and can afford to buy condominium units judging from the interest shown by them now in high-rise living than in the past,” he told reporters after a signing ceremony between the Kelantan State Economic Development Corporation (PKINK) and Ken Property SD Bud to build a RM48 million luxury green concept and environment friendly condominium.
The 21-storey project, comprising 165 units, a management office, surah, community hall, kindergarten, gymnasium, swimming pool and children’s’ park, would be completed within six years, he said.
Meanwhile, Ken Holdings Bhd Group Executive Chairman Datuk Kenny B.K.Tan said the project would be a testimony of a new lifestyle of living which would incorporate greenery and environment friendly concepts of its kind in the state.
“It promises to be a refreshing new way of condo living,” he added. — BERNAMA
